As we have damage turned of for the races we will not be opposed to a little bit of rubbing and bumping between cars as long as no one has their race severely affected by any contact. In the event contact does occur and a driver does lose more than the one position we recommend that the driver attempting to pass drops back behind the affected driver to address the situation.

After finalising all the details of next weeks Willow Springs 500, I can now share with everyone the planned formats for next Thursday's qualifying night which will account for every possibility.

There will be a single 30 minute qualifying session on the Thursday Night (April 25). Results of the qualifying session will be used to determine the grid order for the qualifying races held following qualifying on the Thursday night. The formats for the qualifying races will be dependent on the number of drivers in attendance and will be as follows:

A bonus 10 points will be awarded to fastest qualifying time and 5 points to 2nd place.

12-16 cars: Fields will be split into odds and evens based on qualifying results. Both groups will run a 10 lap race with Race 1 being the odds and Race 2 being evens. Results from Race 1 will decide the inside line and the Results from Race 2 deciding the outside line. Top 2 cars in qualifying will be locked into the front row of Sundays race.

More than 16 cars: Qualifying will take place across 2 rooms, with qualifying results used to split drivers across the 2 rooms for a 10 lap qualifying race in each room using the same format as the 12-16 system. The top 2 in qualifying will earn automatic spot on the front row in the Sunday race along with drivers who have competed in previous rounds of the series. Remaining positions decided by the results of the 2 qualifying races

Drivers briefings will be posted later this afternoon.

Race Starts

There is a potential for the start to get messy if drivers make silly moves at the start of the race, so just remember that this is a very long race and there will be plenty of laps to make your way to the front of the field.

Pit In/Out lines

There a no lines for pit entry and exit, however we do ask that drivers stick to the left of the track when entering and exiting pit lane. Any sudden movements across the track on entry or exit that disadvantage another competitor will be penalised

Attendance Sheets

There will be attendance sheets posted along with the drivers briefing for each specific class in the relevant thread. Please complete these forms with the relevant information to give organisers an indication of what numbers to expect on race night.

Please like the post to acknowledge that you have read and understand all points of the drivers briefing.

Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone in the lobby next Sunday night.
